That’s why my vision of Singapore, and to borrow an analogy from the world of tennis, Singapore can be the Wimbledon, Wimbledon of global finance.

You know what I mean by that?

Very rarely does a British player win the championship but Wimbledon is the number one tennis championship venue in the world.

Similarly, from time to time, some of our Singaporeans will be champions and you can celebrate.

But as long as we host the number one championship in the world, that’s where we grow business opportunities for future generations of Singaporeans.
