This video is part of “Embrace Equity,” Tech in Asia’s campaign for International Women’s Day 2023. As we move to boost support for women in tech, we’re unpacking the idea of equity and exploring what it really means by facilitating candid, thoughtful conversations about how we can achieve a fair and equitable tech ecosystem.

Clara Leow, WhiteCoat’s COO and general counsel, urges organizations to create a culture where everybody feels safe to raise any issues they might have and asserts that this can help open conversations about problems that affect women.

“I think it’s to really remember that workforce covers a huge bunch of people that may not be that willing to vocalize a lot of these issues,” shares Leow. “Maybe because they have not seen it vocalized before and that they may have certain preconceptions as to whether a not these are issues that they can raise.”

In this video, Leow shares her thoughts on how tech companies can create a more equitable environment for women.

Join us on Wednesday, March 8, to unwind, learn, and make friends. We’ll start with a gentle yoga session, followed by a motivational workshop with WhiteCoat Global advisor Natalie Koh and Olivia Yiong from Cheak. Find out more here.
