It plans to invest in firms that are in their series B and series D stages, with check sizes between US$10 million to US$40 million. Venturi will also target “audacious brands” in the education, healthcare, and fast-moving consumer goods spaces.

Only eight investments will be made with the fund, said Nicholas Cator, who founded the company in 2019. So far, Venturi Partners has already made three investments in India and Southeast Asia with 30% of its corpus. The firm also led Singapore beauty startup Believe’s US$55 million round this month.

Before joining Venturi Partners, the fund’s team members had previously invested in Byju’s, Lazada, Pristyn Care, CureFit, Chewy, Oatly, Global Fashion Group, Burger King, Sula Vineyards, Domino’s, and Future Consumer.
