One of the things that’s really hammered home for me in the past couple years is that most change happens in incremental steps. Being presented with the big-picture goal is incredibly daunting, but when you break it down, there’s always something manageable you can begin with.
For example, AI might seem like an extremely advanced technology that’s developing at unprecedented rates, but you can still create “unsexy” solutions that nevertheless solve real problems.
People will pay – and invest in – such things. Just ask fileAI, which received US$14 million for managing unstructured data, such as PDFs, spreadsheets, and emails.

The biggest deals by country
🇮🇳 India-based fintech firm Cashfree has received US$53 million in a funding round led by Krafton, a Korean entertainment company, and the Apis Growth Fund II, which is managed by UK-based Apis Partners.
🇮🇱 Bigabid, an adtech firm based in Israel, has raised US$25 million in a series A round led by MobilityWare, with contributions from angel investors.
🇯🇵 Neusignal Therapeutics is a Japanese medical startup developing treatments for Alzheimer’s dementia. It has raised US$14.4 million in series A money from FFG Venture Business Partners and Nippon Venture Capital.
🇸🇬 Singaporean AI company fileAI has secured US$14 million in its series A fundraise. Led by returning investors including Illuminate Financial, Antler Elevate, Insignia, and Heinemann Group, the round brings the company’s total funding to over US$20 million.
