Singapore-born AnyMind Group, an ecommerce enabler, has agreed to acquire PT Digital Distribusi Indonesia (DDI).

This is the first acquisition by AnyMind Group in Indonesia and the first since the company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market.

DDI was founded in 2019 by Tatum Kembara, former vice president for business growth at Blibli – an Indonesian ecommerce marketplace.

DDI provides a range of services across the ecommerce value chain to enterprises in Indonesia, including strategy development, warehousing and logistics management, and automated store operations.

Despite becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of AnyMind Group, DDI will still be managed by its current team after the deal closes. Meanwhile, Kembara will join AnyMind Group’s management team as a managing director.

AnyMind Group said it wants to leverage DDI’s local ecommerce operations team and customer network. The acquirer also reported that its revenue for Q1 2023 reached 6.56 billion Japanese yen (US$48 million), representing 27% year-on-year growth.

Before this deal, AnyMind made seven acquisitions: four businesses in Japan and one each in India, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
