Quikr

Online classifieds site Quikr announced today that it has acquired white collar employment startup Hiree in an attempt to expand further into the jobs industry.
Under the deal, Hiree will operate independently under Quikr. Financial details of the agreement were undisclosed.
This January, Quikr merged with CommonFloor, though the two brands continue to operate independently.
QuikrJobs, Quikr’s current jobs platform, concentrates on blue collar positions. AasaanJobs and Babajob also concentrate on recruiting blue collar workers.
Qwikcilver

Bangalore-based Qwikcilver, which runs gift card tech site Woohoo has announced a fresh round of funding led by Sistema Asia Fund Advisory, a proprietary fund floated by Sistema JSFC.
Existing investors also participated, said Qwikcilver founder and director Kumar Sudarsan in a statement. The investment amount was undisclosed.
Qwikcilver runs a cloud-hosted software-as-a-service (SaaS) portal for gift cards and prepaid cards in India. Through Qwikcilver’s site and Woohoo’s apps available for Android and iOS, the company claims people across 500 cities and towns in India can purchase gift cards for over 10,000 stores, ecommerce sites, and mobile apps.
Woohoo has partnered with over 150 brands and over 500 companies for employee rewards, and partner programs and promotions.
