Twitter India chief moves to the US as senior director
Manish Maheshwari, managing director of Twitter India, is moving to the US for a new role at the social media platform that will focus on revenue strategy and operations for new markets.
Experience:
- Maheshwari has nearly 20 years of experience, including two years as the chief of Twitter India.
- He also had stints at companies such as Network18, Flipkart, and Intuit, according to his LinkedIn profile.
More details:
- Twitter’s head of sales Kanika Mittal and business head Neha Sharma will reportedly co-lead the India unit and report to Ya Sasamoto, vice president of Twitter Japan and Asia Pacific.
- Maheshwari’s move comes after a standoff between Twitter and the Indian government over a variety of issues, including compliance with new social media rules and the removal of certain content from the platform.
