Here’s what the hot topics have been on Baidu search this past week:

1. NBA Live Broadcast– The NBA Finals are underway and Chinese viewers are trying to find a live broadcast of the games online, or looking for highlights from the live broadcast after the games are over. (Image source)



2. “Forever Loyal”– “Forever Loyal” is a new TV show that began airing on CCTV-1 earlier this month. The show is about a CCP cadre posted in the countryside. (Image source)



3. “Naruto” 435– People are searching for episode 435 of the popular Japanese anime program Naruto. (Image source)



4. “Happy Camp 6/4/2011– People are searching for the June 4th episode of “Happy Camp,” a popular entertainment program. Nothing particularly newsworthy seems to have happened during that episode, though. (Image source).



5. Zhou Dongyu– Zhou, an actress most famous for her recent work in Zhang Yimou projects, misspoke several times at a recent promo event for her new film, then joked that the reason was “gaokao” syndrome. 7. Gaokao 2011 Essay Questions– The Gaokao, China’s all-important college entrance exam, is over, and the various essay questions that appeared on the differing regional versions of the test have been reported online for people to ponder and discuss.
8. A “passion play” in the classroom– News of the video of two students having sex — and then suddenly recalling there are cameras — in an empty classroom of their college seems to have finally hit China’s mainstream media this week which triggered searches on Baidu. It’s not new news, however; the story was first a big hit on Chinese BBS forums around one month ago. (Image source)

10. Yao Jiaxin’s execution carried out– Yao Jiaxin, the young man who hit a woman with his car, then got out and stabbed her eight times to ensure she was dead and he wouldn’t have to pay her any compensation money, was executed this week. (Image source)
