Tiger Global pours $65m into Indian edtech firm Classplus
India-based edtech firm Classplus announced it has raised US$65 million in its latest round of funding.

- The fresh fundraise may lift Classplus’ valuation to between US$200 million and US$210 million.
- It also marks Tiger Global’s fourth investment in the Indian edtech space after Byju’s, Unacademy, and Vedantu.
- Classplus said its platform has grown 10x in the last 12 months.
- The company develops web and mobile-based tutor enablement applications, which help tutors connect with students and parents. It also allows tutors to run all their communications, payments, assessments, and learning programs online on their smartphones.
- The edtech firm claims that educators can increase their student base from 100 to 1,200 students within the first eight to 10 months of using Classplus.
- The startup is up against similar players like Teachmint and Google-backed Cuemath.
