Singaporean cancer diagnostics startup secures $77m in series C funding
Mirxes, the Singapore-based biotechnology startup focused on cancer detection, announced it has raised US$77 million in its latest round.

- Lead investor: CR-CP Life Science Fund, a joint venture set up by Hong Kong conglomerate China Resources Group and Thai conglomerate Charoen Pokphand Group
- Other investors: Global healthcare investment firm Rock Springs Capital, EDBI, CCBI, and Keytone Ventures

- The round pushes Mirxes’ total amount raised from investors to US$120 million to date. The company says that it is the largest funding raised by a Singapore-headquartered cancer diagnostics firm.
- The company is chasing after the holy grail of medicine: cancer prevention.
- It plans to use the fresh funds to develop and commercialize its multi-cancer early detection tests and accelerate regulatory approval and adoption of its detection test for gastric cancer.
- The company will also be doubling its talent pool to 400 staff in the next two years, mostly for its research and development, data science, and commercial teams.

Mirxes currently collaborates with academic and clinical institutions in Singapore, the United States, China, Italy, and Japan to conduct large-scale clinical studies on lung, colorectal, liver, breast, and pancreatic cancers.
