Cambodia-based Meal Temple acquires Laos food-delivery platform
Cambodia-based food delivery and logistics platform Meal Temple has acquired Laos-based MyDelivery, a unit of fintech firm Kiwi Group.
Meal Temple used funds it raised from private investors in October 2018 to bankroll its purchase of MyDelivery, which supports over 200 restaurants in the Lao capital of Vientiane.

Meal Temple will continue MyDelivery’s operations without rebranding and plans to add more on-demand delivery and logistics services like grocery delivery.
As part of its expansion plan into Laos, the Cambodian company also plans to introduce its own localized portal and will leverage MyDelivery’s team, network, and support center.
Meal Temple will also enter into an exclusive partnership with Kiwi Group that entails the use of Kiwi Pay fintech solutions for local online payments. To date, the Kiwi Pay platform supports Alipay, WeChat Pay, Google Wallet, and Apple Pay.
