The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt can be over 100 hours long, has 36 different endings

I’ve been excited about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt since the game’s trailer — which is incredible — first came out. But after reading this new interview with CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwinski, I’m more excited than ever.

There’s a lot of information in there, and the full interview is worth a read if you’re a fan, but here are some fun facts about the game that Iwinski shares:

• The game is huge. It’s supposedly 30 times larger than previous Witcher games.
• It has a ton of story content; Iwinski estimates the main story alone will take upwards of 50 hours, and adding in all the game’s sidequests takes it up to 100-120 hours of gameplay for one playthrough…
• …but there will be plenty of reason to play the game more than once, seeing as the game currently has 36 different endings. (Or maybe even more, Iwinski says there’s an internal debate about this).

For RPG fans, this game is sounding like it could be as much of a time-sink as Skyrim — not that that’s a bad thing! Unfortunately the one piece of information Iwinski didn’t have was a release date, beyond what we already knew: the game is scheduled to come out sometime this year.

Since we have to wait, let’s all just watch the trailer again, shall we?
