As longtime readers know, we like to check in on the Chinese PC gaming scene once a month or so to see which games Chinese gamers are playing and buzzing about. The top three games (League of Legends, Dungeon and Fighter, and Crossfire) haven’t changed in quite some time, but despite that there are some interesting things to look at this month when compared to last month.

As you can see, the big surprise is Hearthstone, appearing on this chart for the first time after charging into the number six position—no small accomplishment in China’s play-what’s-familiar gaming culture.
Also worth noting: although it didn’t make the top ten, Dota 2 is currently sitting at number 13, not too far off from a top 10 slot. As the hype for TI4 begins to ramp up, we could see Dota 2 break into the top ten for the first time later this spring.
