Ocean Tales

Ocean Tales is an interesting, cutesy take on the city-management strategy genre. Sure you can build your town, cultivate a farm to sustain it, and do all the normal things most city building games let you do, but there’s the added advantage of being able to sail out to hunt whales, visit other continents, and even recruit your friends as shipmates and help each other to, if you can excuse the pun, turn the tide. It’s a curious mix of adventure and city-building, and one that would have you playing for hours on end.

A word of caution though, Android users would do well to play Ocean Tales on an unrooted device. In our experience, it wouldn’t even start up on a rooted Android phone. Dive in on Android and iOS.

Line Let’s Get Rich

Line’s Let’s Get Rich mobile game can be described in two words: global Monopoly. Players select character cards (that can be upgraded for better buffs) rather than arguing who gets the shoe or the Scottie dog, and face off on game boards that feature territories representing countries, rather than different London districts. Originally developed in Korean, its user interface looks a little cluttered with English text, but the gameplay and 3D graphics are good, time-wasting fun. There are single and multiplayer modes, and adorable Line characters to pick from as well!
