Philippine parenting platform appoints ex-GCash exec as CTO
Edamama, a parenting-focused ecommerce platform based in the Philippines, has appointed Karen Yang Chiang as its new CTO.

Before this, Chiang was the head of enterprise architecture at fintech firm Mynt, where she handled the development and execution of the architecture roadmap for local e-wallet major GCash. She also held leadership roles at Eden Tech Ventures and YesCredit Philippines.
Founded in 2020 by Bela Gupta D’Souza, Edamama offers access to over 2 million products and services as well as parenting advice and content. The startup said it has maintained a double-digit compounded monthly growth rate since its launch.
The firm has raised US$25 million in total from backers such as Alpha JWC, Innoven Capital, and Robinsons Retail Holdings.
