Singapore industry association to launch incubator program for fashion startups
The Textile and Fashion Federation (TaFF), Singapore’s official association for the industry, is set to launch The Bridge Fashion Incubator (TBFI) for local startups focused on fashion as well as fashion and retail technology.

TBFI is TaFF’s flagship incubator, and it’s scheduled to start in August of this year. It aims to make fashion brands and related technology startups market-ready in 30 weeks.
A key initiative at The Cocoon Space at Design Orchard, TBFI will provide startups with customized mentorship programs, connections to international players, as well as the tools for continual fundraising, according to a statement. However, TaFF will still offer a tiered membership program that people can apply for if they want to use the workspace.

The association is urging fashion startups and entrepreneurs focused on sustainability and innovation to apply for the program.
“International fashion trends reflect the growing interest in sustainability and disruptive technologies that address the different ways consumers experience and shop for fashion today. In grooming local and international talent from both creative and technology sectors, The Bridge Fashion Incubator will support Singapore’s position as an innovative fashion hub,” said TaFF president Mark Lee.

TaFF’s partners for TBFI currently include Austria-based textile fiber company Lenzing Group, Hong Kong-based textile-tech startup enabler The Mills Fabrica, and online fashion training course Omnilytics Fashion Academy.
