Today, Trive Ventures (previously known as Tri5 Ventures), a Southeast Asia-focused VC firm based in Singapore, announced the launch of Tribe Accelerator – a blockchain accelerator focused on product development. It’s supported by Enterprise Singapore, the lead government agency responsible for developing the city-state’s startup ecosystem.
Tribe Accelerator will target later-stage startups globally for a six-month acceleration program held in Singapore, focusing on product development and driving the mass adoption of blockchain in cities and societies.

The accelerator will take in an initial batch of eight startups, which will get access to mentors, technical support, and an international network of technical talent and potential partners. It will also provide a platform enabling “traditional enterprises and government agencies” to collaborate with the incubated startups.
Tribe Accelerator will officially launch in Q1 2019, after which the startups will join a global demo tour across Singapore, South Korea, and Japan, among other destinations, to showcase and market test their projects.
In addition to support from Enterprise Singapore, Tribe Accelerator is also teaming up with accountancy giant PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Singapore Digital Hub and South Korean blockchain network Icon Foundation.
