SoftBank leads $105m round of Zoom-integrated edtech firm

Details:

• The fresh fundraise takes the total capital raised by Class to US$146 million with a post-money valuation of US$804 million.
• GSV Ventures and Emergence Capital Partners have backed Class in previous fundraises. Edtech funds like Reach Capital, Owl Ventures, Insight Partners, and Learn Capital have also made investments in the virtual classroom startup.

• Class, formerly known as Class for Zoom, uses management and instruction tools to track student engagement, facilitate group discussion, and monitor participation, among other things. The company said it has had over 250 customers to date.
