I’m Desmond Lim, founder of QuikForce. Ask Me Anything!

Hello TIA friends!

I’m Desmond Lim, Founder of QuikForce, a logistics start-up based out of Harvard Innovation Lab in Boston, Massachusetts. At QuikForce, we live by the motto, “Moving Made Simple”, allowing our clients to book a move in a few clicks. We are currently solving the pain of relocation in Boston, New York, and Miami, and are growing rapidly throughout the United States.

My father has been a mover for the past 35 years and I grew up helping him to move. Both my parents only finished 4th grade, and I am the first in my family to attend college and go overseas for school. While at Harvard University, I came up with the idea for QuikForce in my dormitory to help movers like my father do their job more efficiently.

Fun Facts about myself/QuikForce

1. QuikForce was named after my father’s one-van operation in Singapore
2. We have an incredibly diverse team who grew up in over 20+ countries combined and speak over 10 languages, and our software engineering team has a 50:50 ratio of males to females
3. We are incredibly passionate about solving the challenge of moving, and have been on every single one of our first 100 moves personally with our moving partners.
4. I represented the Singapore national youth team in basketball, travelled to over 45 countries, and completed the New York City Triathlon
