The Tech in Asia Conference

Dear Readers,

Today, we’d like to announce some changes to our Tech in Asia conference series. After seven years in the events business, we’ve seen the rise of many startup conferences – from hackathons and meetups to a host of startup conferences that draw in thousands of participants.

Such conferences are now a dime a dozen, and the tech events landscape is becoming increasingly competitive and crowded, particularly in Singapore. Given these factors, we’ve decided to adapt our current model to ensure that Tech in Asia’s conferences will remain valuable and sustainable while staying aligned with our mission of serving and building the region’s tech communities.

To achieve that, we’re consolidating our conferences into a single blockbuster Tech in Asia Conference. And for 2019, we’re hosting it in Jakarta, Indonesia, from October 8 to 9.

Indonesia is a critical market for startups with regional ambition, given its size and the wealth of available opportunities. As builders of the ecosystem, we aspire to provide the platform and be the regional connector that helps businesses find success in Asia’s largest markets.

This year’s Tech in Asia Conference is already shaping up to be an exciting one. For starters, we have founders Achmad Zaky from Bukalapak and William Tanuwijaya from Tokopedia as our first speakers, and we’re adding even more industry leaders to the lineup.

If you purchase your tickets by April 15, you can enjoy an early bird discount of 60 percent. Alternatively, you can also score a free ticket by participating in our launch contest.

If you’re still undecided, maybe Ben Horowitz, co-founder of venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, can persuade you. As he once said, the Tech in Asia Conference is “the best tech conference I’ve ever attended in Asia.”

Rest assured that even as we’re trying out new things, we will continue to live up to everyone’s expectations and build the Tech in Asia Conference into an event that the ecosystem wants.
