Warehouse operations is one area where robotics has found traction. A Gartner report expects over 75% of companies to adopt some form of cyber-physical automation in their warehouses by 2027.
While companies like Amazon have their own in-house robots, most firms will likely have a diverse fleet from different vendors. That’s where GreyOrange comes in: The company offers AI-driven, hardware-agnostic robotic software for everyday warehouse and fulfillment tasks.
The Blume Ventures-backed company recently raised US$135 million in its series D funding round led by Anthelion Capital. Existing investors including Mithril Capital Management, 3State Ventures, and Blume Ventures also participated in the round.
Initially based out of Gurgaon but now headquartered in the US, GreyOrange will use the funds to ramp up hiring in its tech team, expand globally, and strengthen the adoption of its fulfillment orchestration platform across warehouses, distribution centers, and retail stores. Its clients include Coupang, Walmart Canada, and Nike.
The global warehouse automation market is expected to hit US$46.93 billion by 2028, driven by growth in the ecommerce industry and the need to eliminate labor-intensive duties.

“The overall growth seen in the warehouse automation sector will continue to be a strong tailwind for GreyOrange,” the company said in a statement.
Recently, GreyOrange renewed its partnership with Hai Robotics – which provides automated storage and retrieval systems – to boost the throughput, storage density, and agility of the former’s bots.
