Taking insights into how Indonesia lacks high quality internet, especially in the homes of poorer citizens, this can be an alternative to browsing Telunjuk.com directly through your PC, or to messaging @telunjukdotcom on Twitter.
To use the SMS inquiry service simply text an SMS to 3789 from any carrier you use with the following format:

We bring this SMS inquiry feature by working with all the telcos in Indonesia to make it easier for Indonesian people to shop, which aligns with our tagline “Our Best friend to Shop.” We realized that even with internet user growth, there is still a huge number of people without internet access. This SMS inquiry is one of our strategies to educate people and introduce the use of the internet.
This feature can be really useful when we have a mobile and don’t have internet access. And it’s really good that Telunjuk is reaching out to the lower-end market too. One thing to worry about is the complexity of the format though, because if we need to remember the format every time it might impede the feature’s adoption.
