Singapore has access to capital, strong laws and good infrastructure. It’s coined as the tech hub of Southeast Asia or rest of Asia apart from China and India. But is that a good thing? A hub with small market size doesn’t sound too good to me.
In a parallel universe and with the assumption that we all speak the same language, wouldn’t it be great if China or Indonesia becomes the hub instead? Many startups will have the benefit to start off with a gigantic market size to address. Instead of traveling to Singapore, we travel to China/Indonesia.
