Team DK has secured its spot in the grand finals after beating Vici Gaming (VG) 2-1 in the upper bracket finals. However, all is not over yet for VG as they drop to the lower bracket, where they will face Dream Time (DT) in a best of one match to determine who will face DK in the grand finals. Here are the current brackets:
Game 1: raging aggression
Looking at the draft, DK had four potential heroes for a Lifestealer bomb, which meant ganking and picking off heroes. VG’s draft also didn’t have any heroes that had skills that could go through Lifestealer’s Rage. However they did have pushing potential with the Enchantress, Luna, and the Invoker via a Quas-Extort build.
Both teams sent their carries to the safe lane. Luna went with the Disruptor to the bottom lane against the enemy Nyx. Lifestealer, on the other hand, went with Shadow Shaman to the top lane against the enemy Bristleback. Puck headed mid against Invoker while Enchantress headed into the jungle where she was pestered by the Bounty Hunter who warded most of the camps.
The early game looked good for Team DK, as Puck took first blood at 4:13 by killing the Invoker with help from a gank from Bounty Hunter. Around 7:00, Team DK began moving across the map and picked off the enemy cores, and VG could barely struggle to answer with kills of their own. At 14:00, a big team fight broke in the mid lane where DK wiped all five heroes for VG and even killed the Luna a second time after buying back, forcing the GGs two minutes later.
The match ended at 16:38 with a score of 7-18 in favor of Team DK.
