In a fireside chat at the Stripe Tour, Sea’s CEO spoke about topics from the opportunity it saw in Brazil to the culture now guiding it as it scales.

Shopee’s gross merchandise value in the second quarter increased by 28.4% to US$38.3 billion.

The group’s revenue is up 46.6% year on year at US$7.1 billion.

The sell-off ignores the company’s strategic logic, said analysts from Citi and Maybank Securities.

For the full year, the Shopee parent’s earnings surged to US$1.6 billion from US$447.8 million.

Revenue for the Singapore-based tech giant was up 38.3% to US$6 billion for the quarter.

Its revenue is up 38.2% to US$5.3 billion for the quarter, powered by its ecommerce and digital financial services arms.

The region placed seventh globally in in-app purchase (IAP) revenue, generating US$625 million.

Shopee reported a 28.3% increase in Q1 2025 revenue to US$3.1 billion, up from US$2.4 billion in Q1 2024.
