Report: Singapore’s GIC leads $53m round of IPO-bound Indian travel startup
“Online travel app Ixigo has raised US$53 million from investors led by Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC, ahead of its proposed initial public offering,” the Economic Times reported, citing regulatory filings sourced from Tofler.
Details:
- Info Edge Ventures, White Oak, Bay Capital, Trifecta Capital, Malabar Investments, and Orios Venture Partners also participated in the latest funding round.
- Ixigo is reportedly looking to secure a valuation of up to US$800 million from its public listing, which is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.

- Ixigo, which is backed by Sequoia Capital, will join a growing list of Indian tech firms looking to go public this year, which includes the likes of Paytm, Nykaa, and Mobikwik. Food delivery firm Zomato recently made its debut on the Indian stock exchange.
