Hello reader,

When we talk about the startup ecosystem in Asia Pacific, we often think of Asian markets like India, China, Singapore, and Hong Kong and forget about those in the Pacific.

While they create a buzz from time to time, it’s rare to see startups from this often-overlooked part of the region make the charts.

This week is special, though, with two companies from New Zealand and Australia breaking into our top five. If this happens more frequently, perhaps it’s a good sign that the region is on an upswing across the board.
