Founded in 2016, Acktec Technologies specializes in providing digital learning ecosystems and structuring and digitizing learning and development (L&D) content for educational organizations, multinational corporations, companies in their growth stage, as well as companies scaling beyond their borders.
Its artificial intelligence immersive learning platform, Acktec Learn, helps organizations and institutions transform their existing L&D content into immersive learning modules by using AR, VR, and interactive 3D in a mobile-friendly format.
Meanwhile, its team helps clients convert their learning content into digital modules and market this to audiences via learning content marketplace KQwest, the startup’s newest offering. Institutions can and organizations can also use the platform to source for and acquire learning modules to meet their organizational needs.
The edtech startup has served over 705,000 active learners across 16 countries, through industries such as transportation, education, and finance, according to Octava’s director, Tan Ying Yong.
The new funds will be used to scale KQwest across Asia and overseas, said the firm in a statement.
According to a McKinsey global survey, nearly 90% of executives and managers say their organizations either face skill gaps already or expect gaps to develop within the next five years.
