Singapore-based StashAway, a robo-advisor for retail and accredited investors, raised US$12 million in a series B round led by Fidelity International investment arm Eight Roads Ventures.

The round saw participation from private equity firm Asia Capital and Advisors, which also invested in StashAway’s pre-series A and series A rounds.
The startup claims to have now raised a total of US$20.4 million to date.
StashAway provides automated and personalized portfolio management services as well as its own financial education program called StashAway Academy. It plans to use the new funds to extend into new markets in Asia Pacific and accelerate its product development. It currently operates in Singapore and Malaysia.
The company claims that “tens of thousands of people” from 77 countries have opened an account and have used the platform since launching in Singapore in July 2017.
