F&B software firm gets $2m to go from Gojek co-founder, others

Singapore-based Klikit, an F&B software-as-a-service platform, has raised US$2 million in pre-seed funding from investors including Gojek co-founder Kevin Aluwi.

The round was co-led by Global Founders Capital and Wavemaker Partners. Other backers include Gentree Fund, AfterWork Ventures, Reshape Ventures, Nordstar, Pentas Ventures, and Moving Capital.

Klikit’s software enables restaurants to combine and analyze their food delivery orders on a single mobile device instead of using multiple apps or phones for different locations.

The company has official API agreements with the major apps including GrabFood, Foodpanda, GoFood, and UberEats, which Klikit says represents 85% of Asia Pacific’s digital delivery market. These APIs allow the companies to push updates and get 24/7 data analytics, according to Klikit.

Christopher Withers, a former executive with Gojek and UberEats, established Klikit in 2021. To date, the startup has facilitated over US$2.8 million in food delivery orders across 150 brands in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, and the Philippines.

Klikit is also partnering with creators and consumer brands to roll out limited edition, delivery-only food brands. The initiative will kick off in the Philippines and Australia with two “creator drops” later this year.

Apart from Aluwi, other angel investors involved in Klikit’s pre-seed round include NasDaily’s Nuseir Yassin, YouTuber LazarBeam, Radish Fiction founder Seung-yoon Lee, and executives from Gojek, YouTube, and Flash Coffee.
