The Plug-in USASEAN is a 25-week program that aims to help post-seed business-to-business startups acquire customers in the US and ASEAN markets. Program incentives include funding worth up to US$2 million from the ecosystem and guaranteed paid pilots from enterprises.

The deep-tech startups in the July 2021 cohort are from Israel, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, and the US, among others.

Here are the top five participants:

  • Sensefinity: A software-as-a-service platform, it aims to help manufacturing companies improve logistics operations by creating real-time visibility using internet of things and machine learning. To date, the startup has raised US$1.2 million.
  • Cybord: The company aims to help electronic manufacturers detect counterfeit, defective, and tampered components through its AI-based software. The startup has also raised US$1.2 million so far.
  • SkillReal: It offers a patented augmented reality system to help manufacturing companies with complex assembly lines improve productivity, quality, and precision. The company has banked US$2 million in funding from angel investors to date.
  • Insbay: A bootstrapped startup based in Poland, it offers products that are featured in shows of Discovery’s HGTV channel, which specializes in reality shows related to home improvement and real estate, and TVN Style, a Polish-language channel specializing in women’s fashion, health, and beauty.
  • Flydesk: The company offers a remote team and shared office space management app that it says can reduce office costs by 30%. Flydesk has raised US$700,000 so far.
