This is the first time in Singapore’s history that social media has played a huge role in the General Election. To “celebrate” this, Tribal DDB and Brandtology teamed up for a project titled Party Time to “bring together, on a single page, the news, blogs and conversations on the Singapore General Elections.”
“We want to give the public a view of the facts and feelings that we all share – unedited and unadulterated. So everyone can have a snapshot of the biggest event of the year,” as described on the website.
For someone who isn’t very interested in politics, the visualization does bring some freshness into it. You would probably like this microsite if you’re someone who is fond of simple and designed info tidbits. From the data shown, it seems that the People’s Action Party (PAP) isn’t getting as much positive social media updates as compared to other parties. Let’s see if we see the same results in the final showdown.
Thanks Steve for the heads up.
