The XY starters’ final evolution leaks really pissed Nintendo off (PICS)

[…] So much so they flew down to Canada last week to get a hold of the leaked game cartridge that Instagram user kosthedin was using to post spoilers. The game had been sold to him by a friend who worked in a game store that got its Pokemon XY shipment early.

Following Nintendo’s cartridge confiscation, kosthedin explained what happened. After being told that heads were rolling at Nintendo over the leak, he had given up his leaked cartridge in order to prevent further trouble from happening to his friend and the game shop.

Nintendo has been tantalising Pokemon fans all over the world with slow reveals of the game, much like Jessica Rabbit’s leg peeking out from that purple dress. They had gotten as far as revealing the mid-tier evolutions of XY starters Froakie, Chespin, and Fennekin before kosthedin made his big leak.

While all pictures of the leaks have been removed from his Instagram account, he has posted a final, simple snapshot asking for questions about the game. In the caption, he wrote:

I made it through the first six towns/cities only found one gym, Snorlax is caught at lv.15, and the entire storyline revolves around finding the secret to mega evolutions.

You can ping kosthedin on his Instagram about the game, I’d suggest waiting for the official launch of Pokemon X & Y. After all, we’ve got just five days to go. The Singapore’s launch event will be held on the 5th floor of Funan Digitalife Mall.
