Sprout Solutions, an HR and payroll platform based in the Philippines, has acquired process automation platform Linnia for an undisclosed amount.

Linnia helps Sprout users automate repetitive HR tasks and procurement efforts. It also makes employee onboarding easier.
The process automation platform was initially developed and operated by Aiah, a Philippine AI firm that was founded in 2013 by Gian Paulo dela Rama and Joyce Villadolid.
In a statement, dela Rama said that the acquisition will allow his company to shift its focus to building a marketplace for AI-focused APIs. He added that the marketplace would be the first of its kind in Southeast Asia.
Meanwhile, Sprout Solutions was established in 2015 by husband-and-wife duo Patrick and Alex Gentry. In 2019. it raised US$6 million in a series A round led by Steve Cohen’s Point72 Ventures.
