It has been a while since we last checked in to see what gamers in South Korea were playing, and heading into the always-exciting final quarter of the year, which is always packed with new releases, it’s good to take stock of where we are. Here are the top ten PC games in South Korea right now according to Gamenote (via Tencent Games):
- League of Legends
- FIFA Online 3
- Sudden Attack
- Lineage
- Dungeon & Fighter
- Blade & Soul
- Aion: The Tower of Eternity
- Echo of Soul*
- Cyphers*
- World of Warcraft
The big surprise here is that Warcraft 3 and Starcraft, which have been mainstays of the Korean PC gaming community for years, have finally dropped out of the top ten. In fact, there’s not a single RTS game on this list. Is South Korea’s passion for (and dominance in) that genre finally waning?
