Venture capital firm SOSV has revealed the nine startups in the latest cohort of its Orbit Startups program, which targets emerging tech. Each participant received an initial funding of US$180,000.

Launched in 2022, Orbit focuses on growth and fundraising efforts. It encompasses SOSV’s Chinaccelerator and MOX programs, reflecting the latter two’s shifts to Southeast and South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
Here are the nine startups in the latest batch:
Flashaid: An India-based retail health solution offering insurance plans to provide health benefits and home care services that are 70% cheaper than traditional retail options
Goka: A US-based company that helps brands and creators compete and increase loyalty through real-world-friendly Web3 assets and custom marketing solutions
Muta: A Colombia-headquartered tech-enhanced recycling company for waste management in Latin America
MySyara: A car repair and maintenance platform from the United Arab Emirates
Tappi: A Kenya-based firm whose social commerce solution helps small businesses build an online storefront in under 2 minutes
Tato: An India-based social network platform that protects the privacy of users
TradeTogether: A Singaporean company that provides digital asset management solutions on Web3
Yindii: A Thailand-based startup that aims to reduce food waste and boost restaurant profits by selling unsold food
Zoth: An Indian firm looking to bridge the gap between borrowers from emerging markets with crypto lenders
Orbit’s previous cohort, which was announced in November 2022, consisted of five startups from India, Bangladesh, Nigeria, and Singapore.
