It’s tough, but in every battle there must be a winner. The Tech in Asia Singapore Arena is no exception and, sure enough, Swingvy beat six other startups to rise to the top and claim the prize – a fully paid participation at the Deloitte Tohmatsu Venture Summit 2017 in Tokyo this July, including flight, accommodation, and booth.

Cognalearn came in second, while Kobe finished third.

These were the startup finalists that put up a brave fight:

Kobe is an advertising platform that matches advertisers with influencers. It claims to use algorithms to improve matching and make sure the right advertising message is broadcasted through the right channel. This way, advertisers can boost their signal and target specific audiences they want to reach. The team has a patent pending for its AI-powered system.

Rootee Health claims to prevent diabetic blindness in your eye’s retina by detecting symptoms at an earlier stage than other medical methods. It does this with a contraption that’s part glasses part VR visor. The device, called ELI, takes multiple pictures of your retinas without straining your eyes and processes them through an AI-powered software platform.

AiChat

AiChat describes its model as “chatbots-as-a-service.” The startup builds software that allows businesses to create their own chatbot for Facebook Messenger. Applications include customer service, content delivery, and even ecommerce. AiChat can integrate its bots with a business’s inventory management system or payment gateways, continually training bots with customer interactions using natural language processing tech, and offers data and analytics services.
