- Indian ecommerce giant Flipkart is planning to tap into the US equity market by 2022, reported The Economic Times, citing people familiar with the matter.
- CEO Kaylan Krishnamurthy formally informed Flipkart’s top execs about the IPO timeline, the sources added.
- According to a separate report, Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal sold an additional US$76.4 million worth of shares in the company to a Walmart entity a year after the US company acquired Flipkart.
- Walmart snapped up Flipkart for roughly US$16 billion in 2018, during which Bansal sold 1,122,433 shares for about US$159 million.
