As the NBA lockout continues on, shooting guard J.R. Smith is spending his time in China, having recently signed with Zhejiang of the China Basketball Association. But according to Sheridan Hoops, he’s finding the rules of the internet game in China are not quite what they were at home.
After trying to update Twitter, he discovered that it wasn’t working. But eventually he found he could send tweets using his Blackberry.
I thought that last one was pretty cute. In any case, its good to see that J.R. has an active conversation going with fans. It looks like there’s no shortage of help out there to assist with his internet woes.
On a related note, Adam Minter has an excellent piece out today about China’s reaction to the NBA lockout, with special focus on the Chinese media. I encourage you to check it out.
