Facebook Credits Launch in India

Great news for Indian Facebook App Developers: Facebook just rolled out ‘Facebook Credits’ in India. This is a virtual currency with which users can buy virtual goods and services in games or apps. Now developers can use the credits to charge for the apps and games they build on Facebook. Indian e-commerce Shops on Facebook also can take advantage of this as well.

In the blog post today, the company announced that it has added new international payment methods and improved payout workflows for developers using Facebook Credits. For users of the popular social network, the credits can be purchased using their credit card, PayPal account, or even a mobile phone.

Each Facebook Credit is equivalent to 10 cents ($ 0.10) and if you are a Facebook developer who has Facebook Credits amounting to over 100 dollars you can redeem them. You can either connect your Paypal or banking account to your Facebook Account to redeem them.
