SiTF Awards 2009 Winners

The Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) concluded their 3rd run of the SiTF Awards. At the award ceremony on Friday, they announced and presented the awards to this year’s winners, who together with their fellow finalists, had to pitch their ideas over two rounds to panels of judges to be able to have earned the privilege to call themselves a finalist.

There were 7 categories in which participants could compete for an award, with a few of these categories specially sponsored by various organisations. Competition this year was strong, I can attest to that as I was a judge in the Start-Up Category and we judges took a long while during the deliberation process to finally recommend the 3 finalists to compete for the final award.

The grand winners of the SiTF Awards 2009 are (updated):

Winner: PGK Media Pte Ltd – ADMe Network & Wish Singapore

(PGK Media won last year too.)

ADMe allows you to send a video dedication, a picture snapped from your cellphone or a 3G video clip to giant digital video walls from anywhere in the world. It is an advanced user-centric content delivery platform.

One of their latest and biggest projects include Wish Singapore, the world’s first and largest giant digital wall, during Singapore’s National Day Parade this year.

(2) Infocomm Local Enterprise (iLE) Category:

Winner: KAI Square Pte Ltd – Juzz4Logistics

Juzz4Logistics is a turnkey solution (consisting of both software and hardware) that caters to real-time surveillance needs in the logistics and transportation industries. This service used mobile internet 3G/Wimax technology to help fleet operators better manage their fleet of vehicles through the use of realtime information transfer. They key functions include viewing live surveillance videos, playing back of recorded videos, tracking vehicles’ movement and location and emergency message broadcasting.

Merit: Quantum Inventions Pte Ltd – Traffic Information Platform (TRIP) & QI Navigator

Quantum Inventions, in collaboration with the Land Transport Authority (LTA), has developed the Singapore Traffic Information Platform (TRIP) that delivers real-time traffic information in standards-compliant, machine-interoperable formats over wired or wireless media (GPRS, 3G, Radio, Internet, etc.) to devices and systems for consumers, enterprises and government.
