Singapore’s Temasek joins $80m round of Indonesian healthtech firm Halodoc
“Health tech platform Halodoc said on Wednesday that it raised US$80 million in its series C round led by Indonesian conglomerate Astra,” reported KrAsia.
Details:
- Temasek, Bangkok Bank, Novo Holdings and Telkomsel’s venture arm TMI participated in the round, along with existing investors such as UOB Venture Management, Singtel Innov8, Blibli, Allianz X, and Openspace Ventures.
- Halodoc will use the fresh funding to expand its services in key healthcare verticals and improve patient experience on its app.
Context:
- This round comes after Halodoc raised about US$100 million from its series B and B+ rounds in 2019.
- The startup has been ramping up its efforts to tackle Covid-19 in Indonesia by becoming a part of the government-led taskforce to provide heath screenings, tests, and vaccinations.
