Founded in 2019 by Hrishi Olickel and Nick Clarke, Greywing provides intelligence data such as sea route assessments, piracy threats, and Covid-19 risks to vessel operators. Its latest fundraise will boost its software development.

Apart from Covid-19, “the factors impacting a maritime voyage have grown in complexity with climate change,” said Nick Clarke, the company’s co-founder and CEO. “Greywing’s traction is accelerating to match the pace of these evolving challenge.”
The platform will also feature a new carbon-scoring solution that grades the impact of vessel operations like crew flight bookings and route deviations in real time.
“Our aim is to improve efficiency across carbon, threat, and cost verticals by improving decisions as they’re made, instead of after the fact,” said Hrishi Olickel, chief technology officer at Greywing.
