Singapore’s DoctorPage gets funding from prominent investors around the globe

DoctorPage, a web and mobile reservation platform that connects doctors with patients, announced today that it has received funding from several investors from around the world.

Aside from Michael Brehm, founder and managing director of Rebate Networks, other backers include:

• Damian Doberstein, co-founder of major Russian e-commerce company KupiVIP
• Christian Gaiser, founder of KaufDa, which was acquired by Axel Springer in 2011, and now CEO of location based shopping network Bonial International Group
• Tim Marbach, also the founder of KaufDa
• Value Invest, a venture fund focusing on e-commerce
• Alps Ventures
• private investors in Singapore

“We analyzed more than two dozen e-health companies worldwide and ultimately decided to invest in DoctorPage, the most promising e-health company in Asia,” said Brehm.

Launched in September, DoctorPage enables patients to instantly search and book appointments online with doctors. The service also includes a CRM system for healthcare professionals to optimize patient flow and clinic efficiency.

Besides the web app, DoctorPage also has a mobile version on the iPhone and iPad. An Android version is in the works.

The company competes with DocDoc, a similar startup that launched in Singapore in August and is making a move into South Korea. It is funded by Silicon Valley-based venture capitalist Dave McClure, who is also the founder of 500 Startups; former DBS Chairman Koh Boon Hwee; and Jungle Ventures, a Singapore-based tech startup incubator under the NRF TIS scheme.
