Impress.ai, a Singapore-based AI-powered chatbot for recruiters, has recently secured a new round, CEO and co-founder Sudhanshu Ahuja confirmed with Tech in Asia.
The company declined to provide details of the raise. However, according to VentureCap Insights, which tracks regulatory filings in the city-state, the company raised nearly US$6 million. Participating investors included Seeds Capital, Reapra, and Javelin Startup Holdings.
The CEO added that the fresh funds will be used for expansion across Southeast Asian markets. According to Impress.ai, it has users in Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the US, and the UK.
“We are doubling down on Indonesia on the back of recent successes there and are expanding through partnerships in Southeast Asian markets,” Ahuja said.
Additionally, Ahuja said that the firm has recently established several product and reseller partnerships, the details of which are currently undisclosed.
Founded in 2017, Impress.ai helps businesses assess potential new hires and find top candidates among job applicants. In 2021, Seeds Capital also participated in Impress.ai’s US$3 million pre-series A round, which was led by Summit 29K.
