Indonesian payment startup bags $2m from Surge, Kenangan Fund, others
Durianpay, a payment provider with headquarters in Singapore and Indonesia, announced that it has raised US$2 million in its latest round.

- Durianpay intends to use the fresh funds to expand its payment solution offerings and hire more team members. It currently has 25 employees across Indonesia, Singapore, and India.

The payments platform has so far served 15 businesses, including coffee retailer Kopi Kenangan, social commerce firm Chilibeli, and online donation platform WeCare.
- Durianpay was founded in September 2020 by former OnlinePajak executive Antara Sara Mathai, Moonfrog Labs co-founder Kumar Puspesh, and Natasha Ardiani, a former executive at Shopee and Ovo.
- The startup provides a no-code interface that helps business owners create their own payment workflow and connect with third-party solutions that can aid in fraud detection, the know-your-customer process, and business intelligence.
- The payments firm is part of Surge’s fifth cohort, which was announced in June this year.
