Taiwanese data governance startup secures $2.9m in seed money
FST Network, a Taiwan-based data governance startup, raised US$2.9 million in a H&Q Asia Pacific-led seed round, which also saw participation from National Development Fund Taiwan, Red Building Capital, and Angel to Venture Accelerator (AVA).
FST Network will use the funding to accelerate growth, enhance product development, and expand sales and marketing efforts.

Founded in 2018, the startup aims to deliver a comprehensive set of tools for data governance, management, and tracking its lineage. The firm has a presence in the UK, Japan, and Taiwan.
“We exist to eliminate data duplication, silos, and legacies,” said Jack Chu, CEO and founder of FST Network. The fund raise was completed in May.

FST Network said its platform helps connect people, data, and processes within financial institutions as the industry undergoes digitalization and back-office operations require modernization.
