ShopBack chief commercial officer steps down

Singapore-based shopping and rewards platform ShopBack has announced that its chief commercial officer, Candice Ong, has stepped down from her role.

She will, however, continue to serve as a non-executive director on the company’s board.

ShopBack did not name a replacement for Ong.

Tech in Asia has reached out to ShopBack for more details.

Ong had been ShopBack’s CCO since January 2017, when the company was operating in five markets with around 110 employees. Now, the firm has a presence in 10 markets with a team of 1,000 people.

She has also been on the boards of Enterprise Singapore and the Infocomm Media Development Authority’s logistics-focused subsidiary, Pick. Ong has been an angel investor as part of the XA Network as well.

Earlier this month, ShopBack raised US$160 million from investors such as Asia Partners and Temasek-backed 65 Equity Partners as part of its series F round.
