1. Lamabang | China (Techlist Profile)
Lamabang is a Chinese social network and ecommerce company for mothers and soon-to-be mothers. In addition to a web portal with articles, forum, and a Weibo-style social network with newsfeed, it also developed a social app for monitoring pregnancy called Pregnancy Companion. The app lets women monitor their diet, post pictures of their baby bellies, and interact with other expectant mothers.
The startup announced this week that it completed a series C round of funding.
2. VideoSelfie | Japan (Techlist Profile)
Developed by Tokyo-based Pocket Supernova, VideoSelfie is an app which brings real-time editing, GIFs, filters, and a host of other features to the popular video creation space and combines it with the cultural phenomenon known as the selfie.
3. Qerja | Indonesia (Techlist Profile)
Qerja is a website that allows Indonesian and Malaysian job seekers to share salary details and workplace information publicly. Companies can also use the feedback on it to gauge their position in the market and tweak their offerings to attract and retain good employees.
The startup secured a series A funding round from the SB ISAT Fund, a collaboration between SoftBank and local telco Indosat.
4. Airtake | China
Created by a former Alibaba executive, Airtake, not only saves your photos to the cloud but also preserves precious space on your mobile by not storing the photos on your phone at all. It starts off with 10GB of upload space for free, but it’s easy to invite and add friends to get an extra 10GB each time until you have a maximum cap of free cloud storage.
5. CallFixie | Hong Kong (Techlist Profile)
CallFixie connects tradesmen looking for jobs with homeowners looking to get stuff repaired.Through an Android or iOS app, users can specify the type of fix they’re looking for, enter in a description and photo of the issue, and request a tradesmen. Upon spotting the submission, interested repairmen can respond with a quote.
6. Ninja Logistics | Singapore (Techlist Profile)
