Sequoia-backed edtech startup CoLearn secures $10m in series A round
Indonesia’s CoLearn, an AI-backed edtech startup that provides a platform for online classes and livestreamed homework and exam assistance, said it has raised US$10 million in its latest round of funding.

- The company said it will invest the fresh funds in product and technology development, hiring, and marketing.
- GSV Ventures’ participation in the round marks the US-based edtech investor’s first bet in Indonesia.
- Since launching its online learning platform in August last year, CoLearn said it has scaled to reach roughly 3.5 million students to date.
- In April last year, it was announced that CoLearn had entered into the third cohort of Sequoia India accelerator Surge.
- The company offers a live tutoring platform like Tencent-backed Chinese edtech Yuanfudao for grades 7 to 12 in Indonesia.
